I have not heard of anyone being subsidized or let alone paid for a private tutor. Otherwise, we would have certainly done that. I personally criticize the teachers themselves less (although there are certainly some very questionable individuals), than the higher authorities who failed to prepare their staff for the ongoing crisis.

100% my opinion. Unfortunately, this clearly shows that digital competence has been extremely neglected in the Ministry of Education.

Why should anyone support or pay for a private tutor? You would have to do that yourself anyway. But we are here in a house-building forum, so it certainly doesn't affect any poor people. For me, it would definitely be worth investing a few thousand, and in return, the child is well prepared and up to date for the new start.

It can't be right that children sit at home for months and become dumb just because the internet is too slow.

And whether you complain about the teachers or the ministry doesn't matter, you can't change it. That's why you have to take matters into your own hands.

But not those who have a few thousand to spare either.

Yet this is exactly their strength in NRW with the yellow party. It only stood out because of "agility." Friday afternoon press conference about school operations, and teachers and students learn the rules for the next Monday on the radio.

Ministry email with the exact instructions for school management then sometime between Friday and Sunday.

What exactly is supposed to be a "digital coordinator" in school? An elementary school teacher playing admin? And when is she supposed to do that if the other user here wants every lesson presented in person? It is an additional task, and neither the role nor the position exists for it. You are not a banker either, who now implements your changes in the COBOL legacy systems and then quickly sketches the cloud strategy in the evening to freshly demonstrate compliance for the DSGVO the next morning, because a customer filed a complaint and the supervisory authority is at the door.
Afterwards, it’s off to the counter, filling out transfer forms for seniors for a fee and explaining the ATM. A true all-rounder – and at noon he still cooks in the cafeteria..
