Where is the free beautiful view now? Surely not to the southeast, where the only neighbor is sitting right next to you? According to your description and the property drawing with the north arrow, I thought the street was almost in the west and you were looking northwest into the valley and at least free to the northeast towards the forest and meadow? Then I don’t understand why the terrace there (in the clearance area?) “sticks” to the neighbor?

I find the floor plan quite successful. The bathroom needs some thought. If you put a roof window above the toilet, it can work as in my proposal (with a bench in the shower). I once had a small dressing area under the slope too. That was quite tedious and annoying. I would place a large wardrobe at the 2-meter line – or even better, a built-in wardrobe with sliding doors. You can access it comfortably and have endless wardrobe space and air to breathe in the bed.

For child 2, I would either lower the window or make it narrower so that the wardrobe is not in front of it!

I also find the floor plan itself to be okay. The bathroom and bedroom/dressing area can certainly be improved considering the sloping ceilings, as well as the children's room – but there is no need to fundamentally overhaul anything for that. On the upper floor, the hallway definitely needs to be freed from the dead ends of the bathroom/bedroom. With the windows, one could be bolder and deviate from the loophole symmetry to better adapt them to residential needs and the landscape/view.

What I have less clarity with is the access route and orientation. In any case, I would try to keep the west slope as the prime side: great sunsets, view, and privacy! Could the house or ground floor/upper floor be mirrored to get the access on the other side of the property? Perhaps the ridge direction could also be rotated slightly if the elevations require it (which I find a bit difficult without a site plan with elevations).

Exactly as you describe it.
That was also the decisive point why we wanted to pull the garage out a bit to have a small terrace there from which you can enjoy the view.

The terrace next to the house facing the neighbor in the southeast orientation is ultimately on that side because the sun shines there in the morning and at noon. A terrace facing north, i.e., on the other side of the house, would be optimal in terms of view and privacy, but you never get the sun there.

To be able to look into the valley from the living room, we are considering arranging the windows a bit differently. Previously, a corner window was planned there that corresponded exactly to that direction, but things like that were consistently dropped for cost reasons.

I think your suggestion for the bathroom is great; I had already considered something along those lines.

The suggestion for the bedroom is also super, but my partner won’t be convinced to give up the “dressing room.” In my view, it doesn’t make sense either, but well, it’s her wish; after all, both should be able to contribute and implement their ideas :)

Attached is the view from the upper edge of the property (east) towards the west.

Oh, and the terrace on the S/O side is not extended all the way to the front at the level of the garage, because the architect thought that with the design of the outdoor facilities, the costs for retaining the slope would not be so high and it could then be designed accordingly more easily

Whatever you do: build the house around this view - you have to highlight it :D

I am still thinking about where your cadastral excerpt seems familiar to me. In the meantime, I have already tried a north-oriented insertion of your property into it:
