I think it's pretty good. However, I wonder if you could mirror North and South and possibly swap the positions of the guest room and utility room. At the moment, you're rather excluding the sun from the terrace. You definitely never see the morning sun at breakfast. (of course, I'm exaggerating.) Considering climate change, that could also be an advantage. Maybe I need to rethink here - we are noticing it again right now. It's up to you. In any case, I would pull the carport closer to the street. Enclosing the terrace like that just creates a feeling of tightness. How wide is your bedroom now? Unfortunately, I can't read it. For orientation, 3.60m is a rough guideline so that there's a 2m bed and 80cm to walk on each side. Looks tight. If necessary, better rotate it and move the window. Well, in the end, I would be interested in the actual views. Sending a different, nicer view with a floor plan borders on fraud for me.

Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it!

1. Bedroom:
The width is 3.13 meters. The other way around we would have 3.76 meters, then as you write, the window would be placed on the other wall, which could be detrimental to the front view again. We originally had it exactly like that, but it didn’t look as nice from the front.

2. Views
I asked again for the appropriate floor plan to the 4-window view on the ground floor. I hope to receive it today, then I can provide the floor plan afterwards.

3. Carport
The carport is currently 5 meters away from the street, so that a car (guest) can still comfortably fit there. I am still unsure whether the "narrowing" of the terrace is disadvantageous or rather advantageous (privacy issue).

4. North-South mirroring
The sun currently stands perpendicular to the terrace at 4 p.m. To be honest, I am also unsure about that. Intuitively, the arrangement of utility room, hallway, carport, and toilet in the north or east made sense to us. The rest then kind of evolved because we wanted to move the living room a bit into the "niche" of the extension, and accordingly the kitchen got the northwest.

I actually find it audacious to transmit a view that does not match the floor plan. Why is something like this done.

Over the weekend, I visited a new building. Here, the bedroom also had a width of 3.20m. And that is already really tight. The proposal from khao674 is actually the right one for this.

Thanks for your feedback! We probably need to rethink the bedroom (but our bed is "only" 1.8 meters wide and not 2 meters), although that would actually be at the expense of the front view in our opinion.

I don't want to assume any intent in sending the wrong floor plan for the view (or vice versa). We initially had the solution with two windows on the ground floor. After our criticism, the architect increased it to four. Maybe she just pulled the wrong floor plan from the folder, since both should be filed there.

I have attached a kind of site plan again to put the house in the context of the property (the terrace is now 6 meters wide, but that probably isn’t decisive now).

Well, then you have already given it some thought. I would put it this way: When planning, you think, 50cm next to the bed – that doesn’t bother me, build it like that, and then after 2 or 5 years you think, now that’s enough, and turn the bed. Then it stands under the window. The interesting thing now would be first of all the views for this floor plan, right? Oh, I wasn’t aware it was so tight. The privacy screen would then rather be there so that you don’t see anything. You put a privacy screen on the fence – ideally in the form of a bird-protection hedge. You can also build an insect house or a lizard hill with herbs or, or, or… Seriously, when you step onto your terrace, you want to escape the tightness of the rooms and let your gaze wander. A cozy corner is nice, but one side is enough to snuggle against. Walled in on both left and right then creates the feeling of a row house. Sorry, I can’t immediately follow these thoughts. At least not based on the floor plan. For example, the WC ended up in the south? Just quickly mirrored so that there is no confusion as to how it is meant: The room sizes utility room and guest would still need to be adjusted a bit. It is initially only about the position. The mirroring would also have the advantage on the upper floor (at least that’s how I see it given the heat) that the bedroom would be in the cool north. The wardrobe is very special. Was that your wish?

1. Bedroom
The fact that the bed was moved to the other wall was ultimately due to the front view, which, in our opinion, can really use this window. Maybe there is a nicer solution for that.

2. Front view
I have attached the view with the 2 windows. It fits well for the ground floor but no longer for the upper floor! I hope it doesn’t get all mixed up now and you still understand what is meant. For the ground floor, the view in this post; for the upper floor, the view from yesterday’s post.

3. View from the terrace
Sounds plausible, but the position of the carport worries me a little. Moving it further forward would be unfavorable, and backward also makes no sense due to the long driveway and loss of garden space.

4. Mirroring the floor plan
Makes quite a bit of sense, only the carport then nicely extends over the south. As mentioned in point 3, the position of the carport worries me a bit. And yes, the room sizes for the utility room and office/guest room are currently, in our opinion, very good. They would have to be adjusted when mirroring. Bedroom in the north would of course be optimal, although you would probably still get a bit of the evening sun from the northwest then.

5. Cloakroom
No, idea of the architect. You can use the two niches and the 2-meter-long wall as an option for hooks or possibly a wardrobe. But we are open to suggestions.
