I try the reverse approach. I optimally position the house on the slope if possible. Then the mass balance is also given. It also requires fewer or no retaining walls.

To calculate this, knowledge of the soil is indispensable.

Full agreement. Our house became five-figure more expensive due to soil class 7. But we were warned; the case was factored in.

There are two ways to plan around the property. One financial (which is somewhat the case here) and one aesthetic (which I don't find given in this case). I am sure that the living and usable space on the property can be realized more cheaply - if that is desired.
We built aesthetically and absolutely regarding our living comfort with the property and at the same time not at all square meter price-oriented - on two levels at ground level with one side into the mountain and one side protruding. The fence on the left side shows the 27° north-south slope at this point. The west-east slope was a modest 10° at the start of construction.
The question is always about the goal.

Finally a picture of the finished house. I like it very much. You built along the contour line. Which, if the OP does the same, can also turn out similarly nice.

Sorry, my mistake, I somehow always only count the zeros. By the time the finished floor slab with driveway was done, it was ultimately 6-figure -
with a 3 in front.

What do you mean?

If you don’t orient your favorite spot towards a screen, but towards your view, you are at the goal. Alternatively, you create 2 cozy spots in the room, but there is a bit of a lack of space for that. Another solution could be swivel furniture, so you can look out or in at times.
