A building consultant I just spoke with praised a device from Stiebel Eltron that combines a heat pump and controlled residential ventilation in one unit. According to him, both items would then be eligible for funding together.

As far as I know…system yes, underfloor heating no. If you have a smart home system, you could also connect certain components to it. However, they must have something to do with the heating.

Is that really the case? Isn't it possible to claim the KFW grant of €18,000 AND the BAFA subsidy of 35% for the heat pump for a KFW55 house?

I was referring to KfW Energetic Renovation and BAFA.

Ok... so that means for new construction I can already combine KFW153 and BAFA "Heating with renewable energies," right?

I found online that combining with other subsidies for the same eligible costs is generally possible, provided that the sum of loans, grants, and allowances does not exceed the total eligible costs. With funding from the KfW programs established within the framework of the CO2 Building Renovation Program, combining is only possible with the KfW programs "Energy Efficient Building" (program number 153) and "Energy Efficient Renovation – Supplementary Loan" (program number 167).

Accordingly, my following conclusion should be correct: that the entire air heat pump installation including materials and labor up to €50,000 is eligible for a 35% subsidy through BAFA (up to the connection of the heating circuit distribution). Additionally, KFW153 with an €18,000 grant on a loan amount of €120,000 should be eligible.

The necessary energy consulting for this is eligible for funding through KFW under the promotion program KFW431 with 50% up to a maximum of €4,000 subsidy (for eligible costs of €8,000).

Since the energy consulting subsidy can only be applied for once, and KFW offers 50% while BAFA only offers 35%, one should have the heating system funded through BAFA and the energy consultant funded through KFW. This way, the €50,000 BAFA limit would not be burdened with the energy consultant costs, in case the heating system costs more than €42,000.

Or am I seeing this incorrectly?
