1. Fill out and submit the electronic application form (on the BAFA homepage) --> must happen before the system is installed!
2. You will receive a letter from the office stating that the application has been reviewed and that you will receive a maximum of 35% of the submitted amount if approved. The letter also contains your login details for the portal where you then have to upload your proof (invoice, specialist contractor declaration, confirmation of truthful statements, etc.) (on the BAFA homepage) --> this is done after the system installation
3. Another letter with the official notification. Everything was fine for me, and I had the money in my account within a week

actually, it's all quite easy if you know what you can submit

That means installation and invoice are sufficient? There was this inspection after one year, right? It does not necessarily have to be available yet?

The verification is no problem as long as you have provided truthful information. They are only interested in whether you really installed the system you received funding for. It’s not like you received funding for a heat pump with an SPF of 4.7 and actually installed an oil heating system.
The verification is still pending for me, however...

You need the invoice and the specialist contractor declaration from the installer (the form for the specialist contractor declaration is also available on the BAFA homepage).
You yourself must sign a note stating that you have provided truthful information.
It’s all straightforward. You just have to follow the instructions.

This is currently difficult to get through, I always get the voicemail due to Corona. Just out of interest, how long does the payment take after submitting all proof of use?

I received the confirmation by mail one week after uploading the proof of use. Just under a week later, the money was in the account.

It has been like this for weeks. I have probably tried calling at least 30 times because my heating installer acted as if he had never heard of Bafa before. I never got through even once.
