BAFA funding - experiences with payout duration?

For me, the conclusion is definitely that we will only use such funding if we actually do not need it. Everything simply takes way, way too long and is far too uncertain to really use it as support. You have to have paid for everything long before the money arrives. Our construction project was in 2023. We paid most of the invoices in the summer of 2023.

Did you actually do anything else besides uploading the correct form via the web portal when submitting? I submitted the required documents 10 days after you, but we have now been waiting almost a month longer than you for the next update/payment. Not that I forgot a step somewhere? I don't really find the portal well made—you only get a confirmation that you uploaded something, but no information about what happens next.

We kept pestering Bafa. Called repeatedly until we got a caseworker on the phone and explained how urgently we needed the money (which was true), and then they gave the processing a "push." It still took ages, but who knows how long it would have taken otherwise.

Of course – besides the specialist contractor declaration, we also sent

- the confirmation of truthful information
- the confirmation of the hydraulic balancing
- and the invoices.

They need to know what we did and what we want to be paid for...

As I said: everything was settled for us after one month.

Yes, that's clear - I had already uploaded that when submitting the first time (as far as applicable, for us it’s not about the heating initially, but about the building envelope). The BAFA then requested additional manufacturer certificates, which I uploaded afterwards. I just wonder if I need to trigger anything so that the BAFA knows they can process the application again now, or if that happens automatically.

Sometimes patience simply helps. On Saturday, the assessment notice arrived and since today the funding money is here.
