Perhaps it assumes a larger proportion of domestic hot water in the annual performance factor calculation.

It is indeed increased in [kfw 40], since the remaining heating demand is so low. The question is exactly how BAFA wants it to be handled at this point.

Thank you. I believe there is no way around requesting the calculation. If the general contractor assumes a higher domestic hot water share in the annual performance factor calculation, then a larger heat pump will also have no effect.

We have now received the approval for funding from the Federal Ministry. However, the construction is still in the early stages and the heat pump will only be installed in the second half of the year. Do I need to provide any proof after installation that the heat pump is operating efficiently (e.g. demonstrating the annual performance factor)? Or is proof that the heat pump has been installed sufficient?

The installer must sign a specialist contractor declaration. There he confirms, among other things, the proper installation, compliance with the funding-relevant information, and the implementation of certain measures such as hydraulic balancing.

Whether the pump later delivers the calculated values no longer matters. However, false information during installation or application for payment would constitute subsidy fraud.

I found the following passage about the requirements for funding in new buildings on the website of the Bundesverband Wärmepumpe:

"Additionally to the general funding requirements, in new buildings it is mandatory to …
• … use surface heating systems and
• … conduct a quality check after one year including the measurement of the seasonal performance factor (seasonal performance factor)"

What happens if the seasonal performance factor only measures a two, for example? Does anyone know how the measurement is carried out? That presupposes that I have a heat meter, right? Not everyone has one installed.

There are lists of subsidized heat pumps from BAFA. Do you, who have received approval, always have one from this list? Or is it just an "idea" of which are subsidized, but it could also be applied for with other heat pump models if the other criteria (annual performance factor, surface heating, etc.) are met?
