No. That would mainly assume that the plots of land were "optimal." But what is currently available on the market as building plots usually has "a flaw": steep slope / lively elevation profile, unfavorably located building envelope, street side where the garden side "actually belongs," etc., or simply a bit too small.

Imagine you are a young mother, a graduate architect, and a house provider brings you prospective builders, for whom you are supposed to redesign a standard house so that they want to build it in a maximum of three paid visits plus, say, five hundred euros base fee. That is professionally more fun for the architect and goes better with the child than driving a taxi or waitressing, but it is not fulfilling. And now, as a builder, imagine that the appointment before you today was with a stupid bimbo. By the way, she wiped out all the good suggestions, so there are none left for you.

.. thanks .. and I really only do it as a hobby, but it started in childhood with building Lego houses.

Maybe I should have mentioned that my design is 60 cm wider than your design, but the corner for the terrace is a bit larger.

I'm curious to see how this will continue here.

Hello Michaela, it’s been a while, but we are currently at the very beginning of our bungalow building project. I would be interested to know how your entrance area/roofing was designed and how you solved the roof? Did you stick with the 35°?... Unfortunately, I can’t quite make it out in your profile picture.... Could you possibly post or send me a private message with an outdoor picture of the entrance and the house itself, including the roof? We are currently debating which roof pitch to choose and how to design the entrance..... Thank you very much....

Click on the profile picture on "Show image," then you can see it square in all its glory – including that it shows the entire house. You have to be allowed to send and receive PMs here first. By the way, the OP's profile says they were last logged in here in May 2018. You can also see that directly in the info box.

Thanks, the roof definitely doesn’t look like 35° to me.. more like 20 or so.. I would like to ask her that...

It’s not five, but only thirty-four (see post 131: ). That’s a usual effect of the hip roof appearing flatter. 34° pitch hip roof looks about as steep as a 26° pitch gable roof.
