And that is the most important thing. There was plenty of advice, and one may also accept it with the outcome, not to follow it.

Everyone has different ideas, and we are also happy when tips are given and not everything is just "sugarcoated." But we are not fooling ourselves here either. The house is simply "small," and there are things we do not want to do without. I would like to have ironing / laundry sorting in the utility room, but I am also not deluding myself that it simply won't work.

What definitely does not work is an attic conversion with a staircase.

Why the main bathroom does not have a shower is also beyond me.

And I personally find the sofa position more than uncomfortable right in the middle of the room, visible from the front door. And the kitchen is rather impractical to furnish, with long walking distances, or as drawn no space between the sink and the stove.

I find the terrace corner too small for meaningful use. If you put a table with only 2 chairs there in such a way that the rain does not hit it, the exit is almost blocked.

The utility room is quite small, but there are, partly as in the living room, areas that are somehow unnecessarily large.

Unfortunately, there is no site plan to see how the house fits onto the plot, where the carport or similar will be.

I think there is still room for optimization.

The attic conversion would be possible, the conditions are met and would be prepared by a second staircase change.

There is also enough space for a carport and so on. We don't worry about that. The plot is large.

My parents have a terrace with the same dimensions, and we can sit quite comfortably underneath it. Clearly: a terrace can never be big enough. We can also extend the terrace further, which we will do later. It is important to us to have a covered area. I don't like an attached terrace, and I know that I would personally regret it if we took it away...

Since we will take our kitchen with us and find the layout good, we will also keep it that way. See attachment, a part of the kitchen.

Kitchen .. exactly what I wrote, no space between the cooktop and the sink. That is usually the main workspace in the kitchen for ergonomic working.

I would be interested in a floor plan sketch with a marked option for stairs.

2x2 m as a terrace corner .. but I would pull out a larger area from the start. At 2x2m you basically can’t get past someone sitting at the table.

I don’t doubt that with the given plot size .. I’m more interested in the arrangement to maybe get an idea for a different kind of design.

Okay, we have added the 60 cm roof overhang to the terrace.

Attached is the floor plan regarding the stairs (see the installation of a later staircase in the children's room).
