How does it look at the gable entrance side
Smaller living room facing the street and eat-in kitchen facing the terrace.
I had considered that, but so far I have failed due to lack of ideas. In my opinion, separating the living room and kitchen makes everything look even smaller and tighter. I would prefer an open-plan kitchen-living area, but I will play around with the idea.
Upper floor bathroom, 3 smaller rooms that can be used as an office or children's rooms
Well, that's how it is now, but with the annoying layout of the bedroom. Or what would you change there?
Possibly washer/dryer behind a door as often found in the USA.
Do you mean inside the utility room? Or somewhere completely different?
Attic parents with own bathroom and storage room
That will mean a bitter disappointment for the eldest; he always wanted to go into the attic...
There won't be more space. Only at the moment there is dead space in the dining/cooking area and a "relatively" large hallway
You probably mean the depth of the hallway or could the width also be altered? That would be possible, but wouldn't the hallway then be too narrow?
I have also criticized the empty space in the open kitchen-living area, but on the other hand, it actually opens up the space more. At most, one could extend the wall and move the opening further down. I have to try that.
I would not plan with 3 children's rooms + office. It works now without, and between the eldest and the third, if that exists, there are more than 10 years difference. How long do 3 children live in the house
I originally thought about that too. On the other hand, there are enough examples of children who are still living at home in their mid/late 20s. And then?
A separate office is a must for various reasons (which I will not explain here). If necessary, it can be 1 sqm smaller.

Can a windbreak be added in front?
Hanse Haus added a windbreak to a model house in Oberleichtersbach. That really brought storage space.
No idea, I would have to ask, probably not cost-neutral.
Thanks already for the suggestions!
Have you already signed? If not, I wouldn't do it. The house is too small for 5 people.
No, I gratefully take note of your recommendation. I just don’t see an affordable alternative falling from the sky right now. I already mentioned that we live in Berlin. That’s not as bad as Munich yet, but on the way there...
What is the roof pitch?
Knee wall in the attic is 0?
Do you know the exact floor height? (not room height!)
- 38-45°, not finally fixed yet.
- I calculated 25 cm. I don’t know exactly.
- No, room height should be max 2.5m.
List exactly what technology has to go into the house. Where should it be? Water heater for 5 people – where is it located? Heating, fuse box, water connection – you don't seriously want to squeeze the washing machine in there too? Where is the dirty laundry? That’s absurd.
I can’t see anything in your pictures. White on white – make them colored.
Yes, everything you mentioned probably has to go in. I have now packed everything in and color-coded it. Everything fits. If there are any legally required safety distances, one has to check. How big is a water connection?
By the way, the BT guy suggested swapping the utility room and guest shower bathroom might help. What do you think? I don’t really believe that, as it's even smaller...
Thanks and regards
