But I have the construction service specification and it says 24 cm calcium silicate brick + 16 cm insulation.

Ok, then you have 42 cm (2 cm top plaster) on the "sunny" exterior walls and towards the neighbor the exterior wall (maybe even with 17 or) 24 cm sand-lime brick plus about 2 cm air gap, because insulation is of course not needed there. Thus, you have at least 14 cm more air at the party wall. At least! What about the interior walls? How does the roof shape look now? Can the construction service description be found online?

I don’t think so. It is supposed to be a gable roof. Interior walls are 11.5 cm kss. Except when drywall is required for structural reasons. A 3m dormer was quoted to me now with a 9000 EUR surcharge. The roof pitch is not decided yet, "the architect still has to determine it".

Ok, so I guess it would work but you still don't know the KS? This is like pulling teeth here.

What do you say about Kerstin's proposal in #53? Are you open to separating the kitchen and living room? At least there will be a quiet room for regeneration and retreat.

Yes, that’s actually how it is. I think I had raised the question/statement that this would close off the rooms like that. I know both, separate kitchen with dining table and living room (childhood and shared apartment) as well as open plan kitchen/living room (now). I think a large open room automatically brings spaciousness that two smaller separate rooms do not have. The argument about quietness is of course true as well. On the other hand, in my previous attempts with a gable-side entrance, only rubbish came out. Apparently, I’m unimaginative there. Maybe it’s because of the semi-detached house. Since with a gable-side entrance you automatically have the side opposite the entrance as a closed side, but you would be used to having a terrace or something open there (at least I know that from other example floor plans). Sorry, I only just realized now that it’s about concrete proposals. I need to look at it again. Best regards Tolentino
