We looked at the rough installation of the plumbing today.
The waterfall shower seems to be installed too low (probably the floor structure was not taken into account).
The waterfall shower is mounted on the wooden panel at the top. 26 l/min flow through it at 3 bar. Hansgrohe article number 26035000.
Nevertheless, the whole thing is only connected to a 16 mm pipe. The installer who is doing the fine installation for me says that this is too little, and a 20 mm pipe should have been used, likewise for the waterfall shower Keuco article number 59982010000 (25 l/min flow through here).
What also surprised him is that the bathtub is also only connected to a 16 mm pipe. It would take a very long time to fill the 190x90 tub. The same question was asked there about why no 20 mm was installed.
In general, he is concerned that if I want to use the shower while my wife is filling the bathtub, the whole setup will not be adequately sized.
Is there any regulation anywhere that specifies which pipe diameters must be used for lines with a certain flow rate of the shower fittings?
Otherwise, he says everything looks clean that the general contractor has prepared regarding plumbing.
However, the waterfall shower seems to be mounted too low. I suspect they forgot the floor construction when determining the height.
