I would keep it that way too - move the other door along, and what speaks against splitting the closet space?

The thought occurred to me in the meantime as well.

However, you then lose the option to install a TV centered to the bed in the bedroom. Whether that is essential or not is another question. On the other hand, any furnishing in the bedroom is certainly easier if the door stays where it is. A room-dividing door is often more difficult for furnishing – for example, for a dresser.

On the other hand, the question would be, if we could design a revolutionary better bathroom through this, to what extent one would accept these possible compromises. Did you have a concrete idea for the bathroom design in mind that would only be possible with the new door variant?

No, I simply believe that you are mistaken there, and I see it quite the opposite: with the access from a corner position, you create a dilemma in the space of detours or poor use of partition walls, because things are then lined up along the path. You can see that the door in the corner does not offer a revolutionary better option

The bathroom already bears enough of the burden, actually having too much space. The best relief for this situation would be more central, but not exactly centrally located access.

She rather watches her soaps in bed and he his football and DIY shows in the living room than the other way around. The TV in the bedroom regularly sits better on the ladies’ side than right in the middle

A surprisingly and downright astonishingly convincing theory. Unfortunately very unromantic, isn't it?

Does the base of this washbasin look to you like a bathroom cabinet from a catalog or a custom-made piece off the beaten path from the usual suppliers?

I now have the entire list of bathroom components together and am still considering whether the shower tray should be 120x120 or rather 140x120. Since up to 26l/min come out of our showerhead, I thought the 140 option might not hurt....

This layout will be realized here. Although everything can still be shifted a bit.

While reading through the thread, I noticed that despite asking, I hadn’t posted any room dimensions.

The room is 3.63m wide and 4.11m long.
