The bathroom is so big, and if the shower were placed where the bathtub is, there would also be a longer wall for the washbasin, and the bathtub would have enough space where the shower is now planned. That would also create a much more spacious feeling.
The problem was that there were only 68 cm between the washbasin and the bathtub. That is also way too narrow. I see several disadvantages with this solution. From the beginning, I didn’t like the shower being so hidden. I also like looking at the stylish fittings when I am in the room, and I don’t think it’s nice to hide the shower like a toilet. However, I could basically live with that. But I refuse to live with that and still give up the desired size of the bathtub and/or shower because of the narrow passage. What good is a bathtub 10 cm narrower with this solution? Although, as I said, that is not an option for us.
With this solution, I get the impression that the bathroom is being blocked by the long wall even though there is only a 1-meter-wide washbasin attached to it. What am I supposed to do with such a long wall that divides the entire room? I don’t like that.
And if you have a solution that neither appeals to you in terms of room layout nor at least allows you to choose the desired dimensions for the shower tray/bathtub, why should you stick with it?
Now I at least have a bathtub in the desired size, as well as a shower tray. And I don’t have such a long wall stretched across the middle of the room that nobody needs.
And yes; of course, the left wall by the shower could be made of glass. But I wouldn’t be in the mood to clean it like crazy. I also thought the wall works well for a towel holder.
I’m not 100% satisfied with any of the solutions, but the last solution is THE best solution for us out of everything that has been there so far. And now I can only change it in minor details.
