This is how it would look now.

The architect thinks that the space around the washbasin is too tight and suggests that we either lower the washbasin and no longer have it centered or switch from a 90cm wide bathtub to an 80cm wide bathtub.

80cm wide would also mean 180cm long, and at 189cm tall, I was actually quite happy with the 190cm bathtub. I am leaning towards lowering the washbasin and still have to think about what to do with the long free wall.

Or does anyone have other ideas?

I would also consider whether the shower could be narrower. We have a 1m x 1.40m shower. That is sometimes already too much space for me. Another 25cm more sounds like a luxury at first, but it also becomes airier and draftier, whereas you actually prefer it cozy and snug in the shower.

The widening of the shower was exactly what the architect should plan for me now. I wanted a 140x120 shower tray or at least a 120x120 tray.

I think you stand much more freely in it, and since we are getting a very high-quality shower, I think the space should also be considered a bit.

We currently have a shower where you stand completely free in the room. That is, of course, the other extreme.

How about a slight tilt of the wall behind the sink, narrower at the toilet and only as wide as it is now at the end of the shower (and also a shift of the sink towards the bottom of the plan)?

Show me. Preferably as a photo, not as a plan.

If I remember correctly, to the right of the bathroom is the walk-in closet and next to that the bedroom, right? Would it be possible in advance to take a few centimeters from the walk-in closet or the bedroom, thus pushing the right bathroom wall even further to the right? I seem to recall that the bedroom is big enough anyway... A floor plan would be helpful.

I'll take a look at it right away.....

Voilà.

I need to take another look. If so, there is minimal space in the bedroom. Not in the dressing room. Here is the floor plan.
