With us, the rough installation of sanitary systems and the fine installation are carried out by different companies.

To which section are the wall-mounted elements for the WCs to be assigned here? I would have said rough installation, but the installer only has the installation of three concealed cistern frames on the schedule.

Is it sufficient to install these elements only as part of the fine installation? Or do I absolutely have to ask again? On the other hand, he now also wants to know from us at what height the washbasin, WC, etc. should be mounted so that the pipes are laid accordingly.

We are getting the Geberit Duofix wall WC mounting element with the article number 111300005.

The mounting elements are installed during the rough installation. Anything else would be nonsense. After all, subsequent trades still need to work on it (tilers, plasterers, etc.).

That sounds to me as questionably brilliant as if one carpenter makes the frames and another the door panels.

Is a toilet on an exterior wall?

Then the shell builder definitely has to seal the joints of the (bonded) aerated concrete blocks or similar airtight on the inside in the area of the pre-wall installation - otherwise air will be drawn later through the flush button and mess up the blower door test (and by that time the tile panel and co. will have been hanging for a long time....)

It's simply a matter of cost. I absolutely don't see why I should pay an extra €10,000 just so it comes from a single source.

Yes, a toilet is mounted on the wall to the garage.

Ten grand range between two plumber quotes as a saving potential just because you split a trade ? ? ? ? ? *scratches head* *looks incredulous*

Water can be very wet if it's not perfectly sealed. For me, perfectly fitting interfaces are important, which in my opinion practically also means "from a single source" for responsibility and warranty. I feel safer when the thread cutter and the nut screwer are the same person. Is my imagination too conservative there?
