Guys, guys... who earns E13 in a bank? Definitely not a trainee.

The starting salary with a bachelor's degree is usually E10, maybe E11 if you're lucky. And many banks don't need a master's degree...

In a bank with 700 employees, maybe 35 staff receive E13 or higher... we're talking about managerial positions here, regardless of age. This is certainly not the norm as you can see from my numbers.

Anyone who calculates so tightly should consider whether building a house is the right decision. 100€ per month should be a small matter for a house. If not, then the next car loan, the overdraft for the broken washing machine, and so on will follow.
I myself was still able to sell financings at 8-9% in "bad" times and later was happy about 5% for my own financing. It worked too! Anyone financing now should simply count themselves lucky, whether it’s 1.5 or 2.5%.

Good evening,

We could afford our installment at the time; of course, otherwise we would have scaled back. On the other hand – if we hadn't renovated, we would have had to pay rent to a third party. So it's more like transferring money from one pocket to the other regarding the amount of money going out and has little to do with being "rich."

But I agree with you that children mean pure luxury; in every conceivable way.

Best regards from the Rhineland

Toxi, a trainee, may possibly have a master's degree / diploma... 3400 gross is not really much for that.

Those who are now trainees with a diploma have been sleeping for the last 5 years. With 0.1 years of professional experience, that's quite a large amount of money. To be fair... theory is good, practice is non-existent, and then they earn more than someone who has been doing the same job for 10 years (specialized qualification, no degree).

In Germany, there are maybe 200-300 trainee positions that are paid that well.

Again: This is just the tip of the iceberg. I know plenty of graduate industrial engineers or business economists who were laughed at for demanding a salary of 48-50TEUR.

Just in my circle of friends, there are 2 trainees in medium-sized companies who started better... just take a look at starting salaries for engineers - on average, they are even higher in Lower Saxony.
