The interest rates are still absolutely favorable, the surcharge at the beginning of the year is about 0.5%, with some institutions slightly more or slightly less. You buy a house and pay it off over 20+x years, if you had financed 5 years ago you would be happy now. Take an interest rate lock-in of at least 15 years and you can't go wrong.
