Thank you for the link. Whether one can believe it or not. Panic certainly also drives business.

Interest rates have risen, that is a fact, and that at some point there must be a recovery of interest rates was to be expected at that interest rate level. Whether this interest rate recovery has actually started now or whether it was just a brief turnaround because some guy bet against German government bonds will have to be seen.

Personally, I do not believe that interest rates will rise significantly in the next few years, as inflation in the EU is being kept stable. Those who refer to the high interest rates in the 90s should at the same time look at inflation. The DM was not as stable as everyone remembers.

It simply did not happen because brokers bought the government bonds, the supply became scarcer, and they have them and sold or want to sell them for a profit. This has a direct relation to the interest rate. The real problems have still not been solved so far... this is how I have understood what has happened in recent days, corrected me if I am wrong.

Another factor is that the ECB buys 80% of German government bonds monthly, resulting in the freely tradable government bonds becoming even more expensive.

Even though the quoted posts are already a few days old. One last point about the kitchen discussion:

I assumed a loan term of 3 years – ergo the installment would also be higher.
