As far as I can remember, banks back then had a reduction of 30 - 35% – and banks were still the financially "good employers". It might also depend on where you were assigned first after your apprenticeship.

A little something about the business administration graduates/trainees:

I have noticed that some large companies, which are considered THE TOP employers among business administration graduates, really exploit newcomers. When I think about our auditing firms, with which I regularly collaborate, I do notice that employees there often stay with us until 10:00 PM or say goodbye to us at 6:00 PM with the words "I'm going to the office now to catch up on some work." I don't know their salaries (they might be within the range posted above), but I believe that such a way of working cannot be healthy in the long run.

... Corresponds to my salary at that time in 1993 plus 100 DM net at BAT VI...

and today for me it is currently public service level e11 level 4 (so already upper third) 2250 net. only that the costs today are different than in 1995 at a converted 1700 net back then for Bat VIII. and even with e11 and upwards it is really not a given to be able to afford property. at least with the land prices currently here in Berlin

E8 and property must almost be kamikaze there...
