Depends on the system. The technical specifications are listed, and it also depends on which filters are used.

Okay.. I can only find little information about this on the internet. Sure, it always depends on the system, but I would be interested in a rough guideline.

I have read filters cost between €50 and €300. Can you change them yourself? Are there any other things that need to be maintained? One filter change every half year? That would be about €150 per year? Then possibly additional cleanings?

Electricity consumption and filters. They are changed every six months and you can do it yourself, it doesn't cost much either. We were told that after 10 years something needs to be cleaned, I forgot the name, but that's why we need an inspection hatch.

What is maintenance-intensive about that? You hardly have to do anything to the ventilation, and I don't know what maintenance you would have to do on the photovoltaics either. (Except maybe clean the modules occasionally) I have no experience with heat pumps so far, but from what you read, not much has to be done there either.

You have no costs except for filters and electricity. Both together amount to about 150 euros. However, you easily save that on heating costs. Thus, neutral. Investment remains about 10,000 euros.

Therefore not economical, but a great gain in comfort.

Okay. Do you really save about 150€ in heating costs? I somehow can’t imagine that at all.

I have some concerns in this area... Maybe it’s because this is still a "novelty" and is gradually becoming more of a topic due to the plastic bags currently being made.

But sure, if I don’t pay more than 18k for the central system + thermal insulation measures for KFW 55, then it’s actually a MUST...

I was just unsure whether such a system doesn’t cost a lot of money afterwards.
What is the lifespan of such a central system? What happens if this system fails? How quickly can you get a technician? A quick 2k for a repair, if something doesn’t work, is certainly not out of the question either...

In this area, I simply have the thought: what is not a MUST doesn’t have to be done if it causes unnecessary costs...

A controlled residential ventilation system is not a must, there are also other options such as window gap ventilators (however, I do not know what KfW value can be achieved with them). A controlled residential ventilation system is very comfortable and worth every cent to me. But you have to decide that for yourself. I would not call the whole thing "new".
