Good, whether they are overpriced or not could be discussed,

We are very satisfied with them, but can also understand if someone does not want to spend the money on them.

That can and should be decided by everyone themselves.

Dirk

If Berbel or Gutmann are too expensive for you (even for us, the Gutmann hoods were too expensive despite employee discounts), then take a look at Novy and buy the hood in Belgium. The hoods are in the same league but are muuuuuuuuch cheaper in Belgium than the counterparts from Berbel or Gutmann.

What speaks against placing the controlled residential ventilation intake near the recirculation hood? Do the exhaust air ducts get greasy too quickly? Or are the filters in the controlled residential ventilation sufficient?

I would definitely install a grease filter in front of the extraction opening.

Furthermore, I do not believe that the controlled residential ventilation extracts the fumes as effectively as a hood. Good hoods extract over 800m³/h, which no ventilation system (at a single outlet) can achieve.

That's true.

Nevertheless, we have "only" controlled residential ventilation with exhaust air in the kitchen and a recirculating hood.
To my considerable surprise, it works very well.

But honestly: A "real" exhaust hood with exhaust air going outside would have been more comfortable for me.....
