A few decades ago, people also said you could wash clothes by hand...
Yes, you can...
You can also write texts on a typewriter... even publish a book that way! Yes, you can, but you don't have to (anymore)....

How many more pages here... yes, a controlled residential ventilation system is great, mega comfortable...
But you don't have to have it to survive.
Do you have a car? Manual transmission?

I have a manual transmission and would not swap it as of now.
It allows for better acceleration out of nice curves xD
In traffic jams or city traffic, I admittedly sometimes wish for it...

What about noise pollution with a central ventilation system?

We had extensive advice from a refrigeration and air conditioning specialist company again, and our opinion was also confirmed, so we are quite sure that we want to go for the central ventilation system.

However, my girlfriend is very sensitive to noise, so my question is: Can this actually be disturbing when falling asleep? Can you even hear it? Nowadays, with the installation of silencers, etc., this should not be a problem, right, or am I mistaken?

Another specialist company said: "Well, some people are already disturbed by the sound of the refrigerator" --> My girlfriend then was like: Yes, me too!!

If it is really not possible at all to have NO disturbing noise here, can the ventilation in the bedroom somehow be left out, so that one can possibly ventilate manually here?

I suspect that this is mostly due to the installation and the chosen pipes. I don't know, though. When our place is finished, we will know more.

The ventilation of the bedroom, alongside the removal of excessive moisture, is fundamentally "the reason" to install a (central) controlled residential ventilation system.

The system naturally makes noises. However, these should remain at the installation location with proper planning.

If everything fits, even at the highest level, hardly anything can be noticed in the sleeping rooms.

Unfortunately, this is not the case in the vast majority of cases.

At the highest level, all systems are relatively audible. Sleeping is then not possible. However, at the lowest level, you normally hear nothing or almost nothing. And the lowest level is more than enough for ventilation, you only need more for parties...
