A quick question about this topic. We are planning an open ground floor (except for the utility room and guest room/bathroom), an open gallery area, and then one bedroom + bathroom on the upper floor.
There will be an attic; could I sensibly use this for controlled residential ventilation? I have little experience with this. Through the attic, I could easily create air outlets down into the open living area, the bathroom, and the bedroom on the top floor and lay hoses freely in the floor. It might not be perfect, because not all rooms would be integrated, but still a large part of the open floor plan. Sounds like a relatively easy solution to implement, even afterwards, since no walls would need to be drilled through and the entire system could be placed in the unused attic. Necessary air inlets or outlets would each go directly through the roof.
Room ventilation would then only take place through the attic ceiling, which extends over all the rooms on the upper floor and almost all on the ground floor.
So far, we are actually planning without controlled residential ventilation, but this sounds to me like at least a basic controlled residential ventilation, basically better than nothing.
I’m afraid I’m overlooking something, but you will (unfortunately) tell me.
We will have a professional install an air conditioning system from the outset.

Yes, that works. It has also been a topic here many times and many users have successfully implemented it. You need to ensure that the system and the pipes in the attic are insulated and that temperatures in winter do not fall below the dew point. Otherwise, you will have rain in the living room, etc.

Some people simply wrapped the system and pipes in cotton wool. Others had an enclosure/room built around it.

Great, then I’ll search here... or do you have a specific keyword ready for that? Thanks in advance anyway.

The topic regarding the exhaust pipes of the Controlled Residential Ventilation is somehow similar to the drainage pipes. Nobody cleans those either, right?

Best regards! mini

But he asked about CENTRAL, so why are you telling us how dirty your DECENTRAL system was... that just confuses here. We have a central system, I just took a look inside our Zehnder 350 that has been running since the construction phase, now 1.5 years: spotless... where is dirt supposed to come from there? I am sensitive to noise and at level 3 it annoys me, but when I sleep I always have it only at level 1 and then I don't hear it... you just have to position the supply air properly. We thought about it forever ourselves and thank God I have the system... we have over 200 sqm house, I have no desire to constantly run around opening and closing everything... but the best thing is actually the sleep... divine... I could not sleep because of cold sensation and noise sensitivity with the window open, unfortunately.

Are central ventilation systems with heat pumps actually subsidized? Only in connection with a heat pump? What exactly does it depend on?
