See post Ypg, who said that sometimes there is a draft on the sofa....

When the controlled residential ventilation blows in at, say, 19 degrees while it's 24 degrees inside, the lady notices that.

Since questions keep coming up about long-term tests and real experiences, I examined my controlled residential ventilation system for the first time after 3 years of operation and found no major dust accumulation in the pipes or the system itself.

Today, another 6 years later (a total of 9), I made some modifications to the exhaust duct and naturally took a look. Yes, dust has accumulated in the main exhaust pipe; the yellowish-brown on the left is sealant. But the amounts are more or less small and only in the exhaust duct. The supply air pipes still look like they did on the first day.

Do you have no filters in the exhaust air valves?

But of course, but these are not 100% sealed otherwise they wouldn’t work and after 9 years of continuous operation you still have fine dust in the pipes. I don’t want to imagine what it would look like without an exhaust air filter.

So with us, after six years it still looks like new. However, they are plastic pipes.

You are welcome to show your installation. Then we have a picture after 6 years.
