Where the sand or the partially coarse-grained material lies, it is a concrete slab.
In the first upper floor, I opened the floor today and here too the sand lies on the concrete slab.
I would like to remove this material in order to then install underfloor heating and screed.
Room height from the floor of the concrete slab to the ceiling is 2.54m.
What do you think about removing this material and installing underfloor heating and screed?
If you have specific questions about floor construction and a hundred other topics that will arise during the core renovation, I recommend visiting the site "fachwerk" dot de via one of the common search engines and reading through the materials and forums there. Many homeowners and craftsmen are active there who are very knowledgeable about all kinds of issues concerning old buildings. We often look there when something interesting pops up again in our house (built in 1935).
