Should satellite TV still be installed in the new building at all?

The problem with us is that we have the roof window on the north side but at the very bottom of the roof.

At the top of the roof we don't have a hatch.
That means they cannot be installed near a window in our case.

It doesn't work on the garage either because it faces north and has no clear view to the south.
On the house facade, we can only do it on the garden side.

Alternatively, we let the cable run into the garage and then extend the cable and lead it underground in the garden to the garden house which stands at the other end of the garden.
There it would have a clear view to the south.

When you prepare the location for the Sat dish, clarify with the electrician at the same time how the grounding should be done or what needs to be prepared there.

Fixed that for you ;)

Most roofs are well below 45 degrees, so that’s not a problem. Proper shoes (climbing shoes, alternatively hiking boots) and dry weather.

As for us, we have the connections routed into the rooms, but initially are not planning on a dish. The TV hasn’t been in use as such for ages, if we use it, then as a large screen for YouTube or streaming.

Where would you hang the dish at our place

Roof: difficult to walk on (gable roof with 35 degrees, but I am afraid of heights :/ )
Also, space for photovoltaics would be lost

Facade facing the garden: does not look good visually

Garage and other facade not possible

Garden house? Would have to lay cables through the whole garden
our garden is 10mx20m

What do you think about flat antennas?
They are advertised as having the same performance as normal satellite dishes

I have often seen them freestanding in the garden. Just get a bigger stand.

You also have to read the answers! A well-founded opinion on the flat antennas has already been given. What kind of answer are you expecting regarding location recommendation? In the past, on construction sites, you would have been told, use "Siemens air hooks," with which you can attach anything wherever you want...
