I am also following the Wengerter thread with great interest. We also have a local developer here that you’d better stay away from. But when the city sells 50% (feels more like 80%) of the new development areas to this company, you just can’t avoid it.
Based on the draft from , I created another variant that does not move the building services to the right but instead shifts the bathroom on the upper floor to the left side. I think this way my architect can’t complain about any piping routes. The rest is basically identical to Katja’s draft.
I still have the following points/questions:
- Did I make any major blunders here or is it basically okay?
- The space for the doors is probably a bit tight. How much space do I need there?
- I find the layout of the children’s rooms better in Katja’s draft, but I tried here to incorporate the load-bearing walls from the ground floor.
- Regarding storage space under the stairs, I have always found pictures where a wall was built between the two stair flights, creating an additional room. I find that very closed off and cramped. Then I found the attached picture. My stairs would have the dimensions of 2.05x2.45m in this design. Do you think such a solution is sensible and feasible?
