In the current planning documents the ceiling is specified as 20cm with a 28cm tall structure above it. The underfloor heating and ventilation plus floor covering are to be installed here.

I can see, maybe I’m thinking in the wrong direction. It just worries me a bit if there is no basement and no attic and I have to store any kind of stuff (and that’s not overly much for us) within the living space. But we will reflect on that again carefully.

The shed doesn’t necessarily have to be used for bicycles. There are other possibilities as well.

Thanks, we will think further in this direction. There’s usually a reason when everyone argues in the same direction. ;)

I think that’s a lot, but if the BT has calculated it that way...

I would be interested in the exact construction (28cm).

Attached is the plan I currently have. I was also very surprised by it, but I don't think it is that significant. If the floor were 20cm thinner, one might save a stair step, but the room height would not increase; rather, the house would be built less tall. It should be considered that the developer is building three buildings on the property: a multi-family house with 6 condominiums + 2 penthouses, a multi-family house with 4 condominiums, and the three row houses. I could imagine that the ceiling construction in the row houses is therefore similar to that in the other buildings, even though it might have been possible otherwise.

If the BT always builds it like that everywhere, then I wouldn't dissuade him from it either. It's just quite a "ceiling". But ok, maybe it's also better for sound insulation between the floors.

I also don't think I can influence anything here.

Thank you all for your input so far, especially for her draft. We will use the weekend to work through the existing mental blockages and get a clearer picture of the required space.
