Right, I probably should have included that information directly. The storey height on the ground floor is given as 3.03m, the clear room height on the ground floor should be 2.55m, and on the upper floor 2.47m.

Yes, that goes on the list.

That would result in a ceiling + screed of 48cm. What is that supposed to be – a bunker? Usually it's a little over 30cm all in. I had already been looking forward to the 2.70m ceiling height for you...

I think you worry too much about storage space. "Somehow it always works" ensures that you can fit everything in. Floor-to-ceiling cabinets can swallow an enormous amount of stuff. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, let alone design the entire house around storage space. Four people don’t need four times as much storage space as two or one. Most families manage with a "normal" house with a normal amount of storage. As a cyclist, I often find parking space for bikes underrated. But that’s just my opinion. Otherwise, I don’t quite understand your problem.

I also find that a bit much, but perhaps ventilation systems etc. are supposed to be integrated into the floor or ceiling structure.

By the way, with a floor height of 305 cm, I consider 17 steps to be quite ideal.

I see storage space like and ... it is very important to plan the rooms in such a way that cabinets in standard dimensions can be easily and rather inconspicuously accommodated. So, for example, rather use an entire wall for this, then the cabinet does not stand out much because it does not appear as a monster in the room. So always make sure that there are ideally 70 cm behind doors to make the wall usable for a cabinet.

Then you have a maximum floor height of 2.85, so 16 steps are enough. I also find the ceiling height of 2.75 better.
