My concern is actually that it will get dark.. we will have a door with a glass element in the middle and a side panel made of glass but that won’t brighten the room.. but I have the north side nine times and have to make the best out of it..

Without a side entrance, the floor plan in my opinion is simply just tunnel-like. By placing the entrance and stairs on the left side, a completely different spatial feeling would arise and the whole thing would be less tunnel-like. Large window front to the east side, possibly place the master bedroom on the west side of the ground floor. Your floor area exactly matches a property I was once interested in. The floor plan could serve as inspiration. Unfortunately, I cannot post it here for (c) reasons, maybe by email!?

Ok.. into the settlement. And how do you get onto the property? I don’t see a turning circle for the cars. I would actually neglect the lighting at first and focus more on zoning the ground floor. That’s exactly how I would do it.

How high will the ceiling height be? I ask because your floor plan on the ground floor reminds me of a "loft," but the ceilings should be unusually high for that.

Regarding windows and daylight, you could try, as an addition, one of the websites available on the web to see when, how much, and where light will fall.

What I notice, not only with you but also with ourselves and many other builders, is that people often talk about floor-to-ceiling windows, but (almost) never about ceiling-high windows. I seem to remember that ceiling-high windows are supposed to provide more "light yield" than floor-to-ceiling windows. But I could be wrong and hopefully will be corrected shortly by a more experienced (?; the question mark refers to grammar, not experience ;-) ) commentator here.
(I find it unpleasant that, apparently, the thicker the insulation, the less light inflow. :-( )

I have inserted the picture.

Why should I have the bedroom on the ground floor when I have enough space upstairs? I will move into the attic in a few years anyway. I could imagine putting the utility room on the ground floor so I have a bit more space upstairs, BUT honestly I like that it is nice and big on the ground floor. We spend the whole day there. What bothers me more is that the wardrobe is opposite the kitchen and that only because the freezer is "allegedly?!" not allowed to be placed in the middle of the house. But a bathroom without a window + close to the living room I find even worse.

Ceiling height 2.50. I will try to find such a website, that would help me a lot. Thanks.
I BELIEVE ceiling-height windows won’t work for me because we will have roller blinds.
