I don’t find the garden in the south too small. But I do think there could still be some more space and distance to the neighbor in the west. I would probably juggle with the house and its rooms once, to see how it would be if the double garage were in the north and not in the east. Also, then the garage can block the west wind from the entrance. The three bedrooms also seem somewhat inconsistent to me. The most important reasons to revisit the planning would be, on the one hand, the children's room window facing the terrace (who disturbs whom and who is granted peace?) and the clear view from everyone and every seat to the couch. The living room door here is actually the main entrance door and becomes the hub for out/in, children leaving, children arriving, teenager gang rushing into the living room, uncomfortable housemates on the sofa encountering visitors from other family members. The least, in my opinion, would be to swap the parents with the children’s room on the right side of the plan and give the children access from the front hallway. But the living room will still be uncomfortable. That is my opinion. P.s. I haven’t looked at the development plan because I can’t handle the many windows on the computer. I find rotating and turning with the head or previews quite tedious.

You mean like this: ?

Or maybe also charming: at both locations just a single garage each, with the shed for the lawnmower (and the trash bins) attached to the north garage, and the boiler room at the east garage.

What I don't quite understand is why the garage only has to maintain a 1 m distance to the right. I always thought it had to be either on the boundary or 3 m away.

Yes, like that. But then connected to the house and everything shifted to the right on the plan overall.
Then you have about 7.5/8 meters of garden on the left side of the plan.

The entrance could be on the right side of the plan - that might create a better room structure.

Two single garages are the least charming thing you can do.
I remember a flowery description from you: something with two big ears...

For me, it would be fragmented, neither half nor whole, simply improvised where it is not needed.

Regards, Yvonne

As far as I remember, this also applies to boundary garages if you want to exceed the 3m average height or something like that. That one: ? I actually would have thought something like that came from me once – with Schustrik's symmetrical house with a granny flat, garage, and sauna it could have been – but I only found the quote from kbt09 inserted above.

What takes this long will (hopefully) finally turn out well. Attached is the revised floor plan based on the floor plan from Evolith. We decided on the garage in the east because this way you keep the most of the south garden when placing the house 3m away from the northern boundary. The 1m distance from the garage to the boundary was intended by the planner for placing the trash bins and so that you can walk around the house once. I am looking forward to your comments.
