No solid wood + insulation

Wood frame is thinner.

After more than 3 months, I’m checking in here again with our current floor plan, which is hopefully better than the original plan now ;) After the appointment with the carpentry company, we decided against the architect and in favor of the wooden house; my gut feeling after both appointments was clearly in favor of the wooden house. There were also small things that kept running through my mind some time after the appointment with the architect, for example the architect’s firm belief that you don’t need air conditioning and controlled residential ventilation, even though we have both on our “Must-Have” list and she tried to talk us out of it. But anyway, now I’m curious about the general opinion on the new design :D

That's unfortunate and bad, because it is supposed to be your house and not the architect's. As an architect, having no planning knowledge of current technology is unacceptable, even if one personally considers some of these things to be mere trendy nonsense. But the builders want the experts as consultants, not as guardians. Personally, I also never hold back from showing how unnecessary I consider garage-house side doors to be - but the customer must remain king.

"Pro" timber house is fine and dandy, but someone still has to plan that, and a carpenter is not an architect.

Of course, the carpenter is not an architect, but he is still allowed to create and submit the plans ;)

We are in the process of building a bungalow in this shape. Here is our floor plan. Building with brine water heat pump, controlled indoor ventilation, large photovoltaics, fireplace, etc.

I'm posting our floor plan. Maybe you like something or maybe not  And the current picture of the house.

Regarding your floor plan. Personally, I find the walk-in closet poorly positioned. Everyone, including guests, has to go through the walk-in closet to get to the main bathroom. And if you have a party and someone goes to bed, they will constantly hear the guests passing by, especially since the sliding door doesn’t block much noise.
