E X A C T L Y THAT is what I thought too. In the new post I forgot about the dad and wondered why anyone would even build with a granny flat if you have to restrict yourself so much. I have actually seen many apartments that offer more open space. … but then I read from the beginning and saw about the dad’s granny flat. The granny flat can do without the hallway. And I also don’t find the section with the bedroom successful.

So I am definitely open to ideas and the architect has never seen my drawings either, but we have communicated the room layout with the granny flat to the east and our living area to the west (garden). Therefore, I would be very happy to receive a drawing from . The setback allows for the reasonably high knee wall on the upper floor and thus of course also a bit more space in the attic. The scenario with a father no longer living in the house can happen faster than one might want, but I wouldn't really plan for that – it can also take a while at 65, but just in not such a good condition. And the TV would definitely not be there , probably there would be none at all. I can’t say more ideas about the plan itself yet, since I didn’t have time today (but I wished for a plan with more dimensions to also sketch our furniture into it). And something I just remembered during the editing time: The draft is now 13.5m*10m in size.

It’s 13x9 and still more space in the living room. The pantry had to go and Dad can only have a normal small bathroom. If necessary, you can still go with the dimensions mentioned in #44. Pantry goes out so there’s room to live – kitchen big instead. U-staircase on the outer wall should also create decent rooms upstairs with a 1.30m knee wall, fully built over and giving up the roof peak.

Quickly… but I’m just wondering if the offset should be towards the garden. Then the staircase would have to be different.
