Nice idea with the bed. However, the shower is quite tight. I would fully utilize the 10 m width there.

Sorry , but everything is just even more cramped now. To fit an airplane wing on a tight space so that you already have to climb through the window to sit down?!
Instead of spaciousness, there is a stairwell airlock. The stairs don’t even reach the attic—although Katja probably didn’t have that in mind either.
Even dad is half with his face on the toilet when getting out of bed. He has to fall sideways onto the sofa.
Overall, I see absolutely no added value or positive change.

Well, I do. The idea is what matters. Here it is again, a bit spruced up: Separation between sofa and kitchen only 1m high. Windows in the upper floor are still missing.

I am still a bit overwhelmed by the input (thank you very much for that!) and will discuss and go through everything with the family council over the weekend - but we still like the attic, I tend to lean more towards @ypgs (or one separates the stairs, but my gut feeling says you don’t gain much from that?!)

Much too expensive: You build 2 staircases instead of one, have to insulate the roof, statically support the setback, and above all build the flat roof additionally. And what for all the fuss? So you can squeeze yourself under the slant? I wouldn't spend my money on that. The rooms on the upper floor are much more pleasing and probably cheaper per sqm.

One could still extend the wall between the open hallway and kitchen with my idea. Personally, I wouldn't do it. I am considering whether the 1.50 knee wall or dwarf wall is necessary when you have a 60-degree slope. When I think about the fact that we have a 26-degree slope with a 1.25 knee wall, then I think that 1.20 with a 60-degree slope is more than enough, so that you can probably—well calculated—plan the attic accordingly more generously. If a dormer is being considered, then I would also open the hallway on the top floor to it with daylight and a reading or working area without compromising the rooms. Nothing is more confining than a hallway that exists only to hold doors. It creates, upon arrival upstairs, a feeling of claustrophobia before you have even entered a room. On the weekend I will go into detail and [Dachgeschoss].
