Yes, 3.75m is also our absolute minimum. More would be nice, but then the bathroom upstairs becomes too narrow. Previously it was only 3.63m, which was also too little for us. It's just a compromise.

Unfortunately, an additional window on the couch side is not possible, as it is not allowed according to the development plan (boundary development to the neighbor, where his garage is located).

Give the shower on the ground floor the full depth. The small corner in the storage room is useless. Otherwise, you could clarify if you want the platform stairs whether it might make sense to change the starting step. Then the high part of the stairs would border the storage room and could possibly be connected with the storage room to create a little more storage space. I also like the idea of swapping K1 and parents rooms on the upper floor. I don't like the slanted wall at all. I would also have the garage flush with the house.

I would also include the storage room on the ground floor with the guest WC. Instead, you can put a nice cabinet there where you can actually fit something - e.g. mop bucket and broom, etc.

Great, thanks!

Yes, left side = floor-to-ceiling window, in case you want to get out through the kitchen (exceptionally) once in a while.

Width 2.80 for the kitchen was planned with 3 x 60 + 1 x 90 (corner base cabinet + carousel) + 10 cm buffer. The cabinet in the kitchen on the left is optional if the space might not be enough. Or it can be used for a standing table. At the current stage, I haven’t made a 100% finished kitchen plan but oriented myself on standard L-measurements.

Landing stairs, yes, we definitely have to try walking on them, I currently can’t assess at all how acceptable it is with the (relatively small) measurements. Alternatively, a spiral staircase, although I don’t yet know where the better compromise is. We both don’t like spiral stairs at all.

Bathroom upstairs is great in your plan! We’ll take it like that.

Ground floor shower is meant as a backup, if two children are around and block the family bathroom. Or to avoid having to go through half the house after sports/gardening.

And when I read [Eckunterschrank] and [Karussell], I recommend you inform yourself more thoroughly. Just as a suggestion, whether that is really the optimal idea. And I think a proper kitchen planning at this stage is not wrong at all. Now it is still possible to move walls a little, etc., so that the kitchen is really used optimally later on.

Great, thanks for the many suggestions, great forum here We have quite a bit to think about again now.

Maybe a few background details for our floor plan:

[*]Topic slanted wall in the living room: We thought that this especially prevents the kitchen from looking like a narrow corridor and makes the whole area appear a bit more "open". Also, this way when you look from the front door you don’t directly face a "dark" wall but (if the living room door is open) you get a bit more light into the hallway.
[*]Kitchen with corner base cabinet and carousel we currently also have (the kitchen planned here is quite similar to our current one, just bigger). I actually don’t want to do without the carousel anymore; it provides both storage space and order. But yes, a somewhat more concrete kitchen planning definitely makes sense, so we don’t end up missing 5 cm somewhere.
[*]Shower on the ground floor with full depth makes more sense than the current dead corner, that’s true. Then the storage room becomes more of a "large closet," which was exactly the idea behind it. We still have a basement for "supplies".
[*]Swapping child 1 with the master bedroom is certainly tempting and probably also sensible; we still have to think about that. So far it was a bit selfishly planned, also to get some southern sunlight + evening sun and the clearly better view.

What exactly do you mean by that? An (additional) door on the right kitchen side to the hallway? And then the living room door would basically go straight ahead from the hallway into the living room?
