No, that is not feasible. With a width of 8.50 you need a lot of width in the living rooms, less remains for the hallway and so on.

Illusion. You don’t stand in front of the window all the time, nor do you wash dishes facing the street for hours... Children don’t play exactly in front of their house either, otherwise they wouldn’t play together
You do your day’s work and move around in the house. It’s more sensible to take a break now and then and stretch your legs in the street

Oops
Well, it’s a two-story anyway, so that doesn’t affect the floor plan. But I really like the house that way ... lol*

But you wanted an office – or did I read that wrong?

My mistake, sorry.
I had let myself be confused too much by our property.

Besides the advantage, the garage walls disappear and the passage to the garden appears friendlier/more open/less terraced house feeling

Well... I wouldn’t say not at all right away.

But he also wanted an office. And I don't find this daylight eater in the top left exactly beneficial for a lounge.

No, no, Katja's plan is fine. Upstairs 1x parents, 1x child, 1x office/child/guest ... basically child 2, if one should be there sometime, until then office/guest.

I am torn between overhanging the garage downward or not. Yes .. it creates a private corner, which is best continued on the next property as well. Then you have privacy on the terrace. No, because you lose the western sun there. I would probably choose yes and try to convince the eastern neighbor to do the same.

The platform wouldn't be important enough to me either. I just wanted to show that it wouldn't be impossible. But I think it would have too many disadvantages. Especially continuing into the attic like that is not possible. I would probably build it as Kerstin suggested, with a nice cozy corner in the back and the kitchen on the terrace. Yvonne's suggestion is not bad either, but probably too expensive.
