Feedback on the Ikea kitchen

Thank you for the feedback. The sink has been moved there, although I don’t know how much - so now it is 1.2 m. I will look at symmetry again - that’s always limited at Ikea, as they don’t have that many different puzzle pieces. I would have liked to have a roller shutter cabinet in the corner as well - unfortunately Ikea doesn’t have that. Accent - okay, then I will play around with that some more. Remove the top row because otherwise it’s too "overwhelming"? I had already thought about that.

The workspace will be sufficient. With an open kitchen, you have to pay attention to functionality and aesthetics. I had the roller shutter cabinet from Ikea back then, a good thing for a corner for appliances. Yes, otherwise it's overwhelming. You can decorate something on top then. They say: half of the budget for furniture, the other half for appliances. We also reached the 10000 mark, but with a brand-name kitchen in a respectable layout. Be careful with Ikea's carousel for pots; they sag under weight.

The best offer from the kitchen studio was 13 K€ including appliances, installation, etc. – so probably around 11 K€ for the kitchen alone – but I must admit that I did not find the Nobilia kitchen to be better finished than the one from IKEA. Thanks for the tip about the carousel. Unfortunately, it seems there are no more roller shutter cabinets for the Metod kitchen. But you are probably right about the grid.

Morning, Optimization potential certainly yes - but that is not really my specialty. Drawers under the stove, on the other hand - directly under our stove is the drawer that is used most often while cooking. Contents: wooden spoons, spatulas, bamboo tongs, pot holders, etc. - exactly what I want to have within reach while cooking. Below that are pots and pans stored, and directly next to the stove are spices and oil. What I don't like so much: when cooking you stand most of the time with your back to the room. And when sitting at the counter you almost fall into the sink. That should be better...

you get 2 well usable preparation areas on the right and left of the sink. Because you often need the sink. And if you like cooking with more than one person, that makes sense. Quickly wash vegetables, clean knives, etc. Usually, you don’t stand at the cooking pot that long. And, the performance of the exhaust hood is also better if it doesn’t have to be in the middle of the room.
