In the 80 cm cabinet under the counter, we have now planned the base cabinet with a waste system - it could stand in front of the sink and would basically have the dishwasher and the trash within reach. We are still a bit unsure about where to place the cutlery. Alternatively, we had also considered removing the 40 cm cabinet between the sink and the counter to make the counter less prominent in the room again. If we keep the 40 cm cabinet, we would have 4.4 m for the dining table, which should actually be enough, right? Since the artificial wood from Ikea doesn't really match the oak front, it would now be an oak solid wood countertop. Alternatively, you could also take the wood-look countertop in dark brown-black and coordinate everything else accordingly: As another alternative, I had also tried a "island solution": Thanks for your feedback!

80cm base cabinet with waste system is very wasteful. I would consider the sink and choose the 40cm that is next to the dead corner as a base cabinet with waste system. Sink possibly without draining board or sink cabinet and swap the 40cm again. Then cutlery, dishes, etc. also fit wonderfully in the 80cm in the peninsula.

The problem is unfortunately that the water connections are there now and replacing them probably wouldn’t fit at all... We have a lot of trash - paper, glass, yellow bag, household waste - do you really think 80 liters is wasteful? Household waste and yellow bag definitely need to have a certain size with us (it feels like the kids drink a liter of milk every morning each and use up 2 packs of cornflakes)... when I look at ikea.com/de/de/catalog/products/S19017618/ you’d have something like that somewhere. Is it annoying if you just put the cutlery over the trash? (Trash would only be the lowest one)

It makes particular sense to have organic/waste directly under the countertop; these are types of waste that especially occur during preparation. A 40 cm base cabinet is sufficient for this.

Paper and yellow sack waste can then, for example, be integrated into the sink cabinet. At Ikea, this would be such a sink cabinet. ikea.com/de/de/catalog/products/S79146556/#/S39146539

Why directly under the countertop? At Ikea, I think it’s always at the very bottom in the stores. Hope that’s not a stupid question. P.S.: what do you think about the black-brown and white as an alternative?

And you just take a cabinet like that:

and put 2 trash bins inside
By the way, trash bins don't care at all whether they are in a lower or upper drawer

EDIT:
I stay out of colors, especially black-brown, because I don't like it
