Well, a 3-piece Knoxhult costs 168€ in total with sink, mixer tap and wall cabinets. And I would like to install a dishwasher on the side of this... If I put this together with Metod, I easily come to 300€
What the Ikea expert calculated refers to the installation of the dishwasher in the middle of the Knoxhult line. If you only place the dishwasher at the end, you only need a new countertop, a front, a toe kick, and a support panel.
With the linked kitchen, you cannot speak of a "3er". The row is only 120 cm wide and there is no possibility to use a built-in oven or to integrate a cooktop into the countertop. If a freestanding stove is acceptable, you can also place a dishwasher as a freestanding unit next to a single sink cabinet.
You are of course completely right. We won’t be able to make it that easy. I was at our Ikea earlier and they still know little about the Knoxhult, as it will only be released on September 1st. However, they expect a "garden kitchen" and so we will probably have to put together a Metod after all and pay around 400 euros. But then everything will fit, also in a quality that can be seen! Because a cheap kitchen with such a thin countertop, cutting and chopping it up... we’d rather not do that. Thanks for the tips!
Do they mean the dreadful SUNNERSTA by garden kitchen? Before you buy regularly, definitely check the clearance section to see if there are suitable parts there. With METOD you can also move and add parts even ten years later. That way you save some money later.
Maybe not quite so garden-kitchen-like, haha. I think she just wanted to express that the new Knoxhult won't be of particularly high quality. Even when looking at the pictures, you can already see that this line is more noticeable because of thinner wooden boards. The Metod will actually be the best solution in our case. Also, based on your advice, I looked in the bargain corner, but there was nothing there this time. We will take another look when we get the chance.
