Possibly another 4 modules will fit on the garage. Exact planning is only possible after consultation with the architect and solar installer. I have planned modules with 440 watts. The roof windows should be moved and the right dormer also slightly to the left.

You can install some there as well. But the shading caused by the dormers significantly affects the yield of the entire area. Or the system becomes considerably more expensive. The solar installer can calculate that for you exactly.

That makes sense, of course... Damn, I hadn't thought about the shadows from the dormers yet.
However, I also wanted to put something on the dormers.
Probably not on the small garage, though, it is shaded by neighbors/trees/our house.
10 kWp is not exactly what I had hoped for now. We'll see what the solar technician says when the time comes.

I am not an expert on photovoltaic systems, but you can also cover areas with partial shading with modules. You just need a special component for each module. That will of course cost more. You might be able to fit 13 more modules on the roof that way. Then 4 more on the garage. Whether that works with the strings, the solar installer will tell you.

Aren't those shed dormers?

No, no idea what they are called.
Attached is a screenshot of the cut, this is how it works :)

Congratulations! Not only for the neighbor, but also to the architect.

Have someone calculate the height of the opening. You might be able to skip the expansion. Because if it’s too low (I guess the limit would be about 120 cm), you’ll just bump your head and won’t enjoy building the nest up there.

Finally someone who describes the truth of sober reality.

Haha… see above.

is right. You can also see in the section that normal walking at the foot end of the bed doesn’t work.
With a roof pitch of 45 degrees, you would have a height of 1.50m at 1.50m distance. So you would have a hallway of 50cm where it is 2 meters high above the foot end, but 50cm further it is only 150cm high.

… is big enough.

Could you please comment again on the black walls in the hallway on the ground floor? Somehow they confuse me. I wonder what they are for. Do you actually want to have an intermediate hallway after the entrance hall? And no direct access to the kitchen?
