Didn't we exchange contact details? I would like to take a look at the result.

Not that I know of  But sure, go ahead and ask what you're interested in – as I said, we haven't gotten that far yet!

Just ask the architect if you may show us the plans.

I’m curious to see if will come along soon and say that we should A) change the architect and B) start all over again ;)

For us, the designs are consistent so far, except for the basement. Of course, if you were to move the house and start from scratch (the exterior walls would be exactly the same, the house exactly fits within the building envelope, and the roof shape etc. is 100% predetermined), you could probably still optimize. But the ground floor + upper floor are fine for us now. East is the side with the beautiful view, so there is my wife’s hobby room/guest room/reading nook for me. Deliberately not our bedroom, because it is actually almost always dark there and we are absolute morning grouches—what you would see outside in the morning when waking up can go jump in a lake before my third coffee :D The pool placement is also not final yet; it will surely move a meter or two in some direction.

The basement, however, gives me a stomachache. Actually, where the storage is now, the technical room was supposed to go. But we have now found out that the house connection simply can’t be relocated there with reasonable effort. Where the house connection is now, I originally wanted to have a small bathroom. That’s not going to happen now. Oh well, that’s just how it is. But we only found this out on Thursday, so I hope we can still come up with a reasonable solution without massively moving the load-bearing walls here...

What we’re most looking forward to is the open parent area upstairs and the two galleries in the attic for the kids. They’re not very high, but for sleeping or simply as a retreat, we think it will be great.

Thank you very much for the plans. Like doesn’t work again. The architect did a pretty good job. The floor plan experts will surely get in touch soon.

Yes, I also think so, at least for the ground floor and attic we have pretty much gotten the optimum. Now we just need to check how it looks with photovoltaics, so that we don't lose area on the dormers just because they are 2 cm too far to the left or something.
