I see it the same way, or rather saw it that way :) Will be secured with a net... (Yes, in some details we are already way too far in the planning because at the beginning we were completely overmotivated). I actually brought up the cleaning topic, dutifully as a tidy (lol) househusband, but was waved off by the best of all wives.

It’s not about _who_ cleans. But anyway… from what I gathered, this expansion won’t empty your pockets. And if the usage isn’t quite what you imagine, well, that’s just how it is.

I asked about the hallway yesterday, which seemed odd to me, and I sketched it out.
Here are the screenshots
a) of your planning and b) how I would find it better

The cloakroom situation is better than in the old house.

That can still be worked on a bit.

But I would first want to know the priorities of the kitchen.

In my opinion, the drafting needs are significantly more important.

Is the utility room really useful on the ground floor? There is a disposal shaft planned to the basement, isn't there?

I would, for example, sacrifice a bathtub and install the washing machine and dryer there.

My wife absolutely wants the washing machine and dryer to be on the ground floor, she won't be convinced otherwise. No chute. The utility room should be quite large, which actually suits us pretty well. We like to celebrate with larger groups, and it's super practical to have space there for two refrigerators, a wine cabinet, etc. It is also planned to place things like a KitchenAid and Thermomix, a second sink, which are not used every day, on the countertop there. However, we also try not to move too much around on the interior walls unnecessarily, and the kitchen/utility room is just like that. Since the house is only 4 km from our current one, we spend a lot of time over there and have, of course, tried out a lot; we think the kitchen fits pretty well like this and will be arranged very similarly again. where do you see difficulties/potential with the kitchen? There's not even a kitchen visible yet :) to me, this is a completely standard arrangement of kitchen and utility room. I find the wardrobe from interesting, but we would like it to be somewhat hidden. We're not exactly the tidiest :-/ maybe also a slightly smaller closet space, I can't see that very clearly right now. I'm just wondering where, in our version, the stroller will be parked when friends come to visit. Man, man, man, you’re making me insecure again, I was actually happy with the plan :-/

You can also make it into a chamber. But that tube-like hallway, like in your current plan, I honestly find impossible. If I had such a floor plan, the first thing I would do is tear down the wall that divides the hallway.

Is there underfloor heating on the ground floor?

Then the variant from is also, in my opinion, better.

In my opinion, the utility room nowadays corresponds to the backup kitchen. Of course, you can integrate a washing machine and dryer there.
