I have already reported on the front door in the north variant, and why it keeps "falling out"...

Even though I have brought up this possibility again and again.

Burned in, it may give that impression. But here I also have to add: that I in fact asked here because I inquired about whether I could realize my actual idea on this property.

Because what you mean was just as nicely considered (we have been "planning" for a while), but we are simply not yet at the point where an idea is final.

The garden southwest... That was also the first plan: but I have also already tried to convey: even if the orientation is to the west: there is now once a planting planned. Unfortunately.
The poplar already covers a large area of the property throughout the day.
So your idea of the living room in the southwest will definitely be covered by the shadow of the trees until about 5:00 p.m.

And that is why I also tried to make clear to you why the east side will ultimately have more sun than the south side...

I am still open... But I have certain insights that you might better understand if we stand together on the property.

The long way to the front door ... hidden at the side, where not even the garages are yet, etc. ... simply not a typical front door situation.

Well .. the spring/autumn/winter situation is already better for the south/southwest. The sun is lower there. I find focusing on the east/southeast quite limiting. I lived for years in an apartment that was only facing east with a southeast window. Now I have east, south and slightly southwest .. it's a difference like day and night, especially outside of high summer (when the sun is more vertical).

Oh, I must have overlooked this background of your question. Yes, for supporting a (solid) exterior wall above, a beam placed in such a position would be a solution.

However, considering the generous development plan, I don't see the necessity to add storage space on top of the living areas.

How then?

That would mean creating more living space, right?
That theoretically costs more than a cold attic?
(Not fundamentally, but in the case of a bungalow or corner bungalow, it would be like that...?)
And if you plan with a gable roof, the storage space is simply there... But a flat roof would be sensible for the aesthetics if you want to implement the Tetris cube.

And without the increased space on the side, the appearance is quite different as well.
And then you might as well plan just a trapezoid?

That is definitely a strong argument.
But on the one hand, I assumed that with appropriate windows, e.g. floor-to-ceiling and several in the living area, sufficient light would come in... and ultimately it's only the evening or morning sun that can shine in directly...
And the evening sun also comes around the left and right sides of the house into the east garden... That was my thought...

I will simply go to the property again tomorrow with all your thoughts and reflect once more.
