25 x 25? I see

Well, looks good: Access to the property via NW, double carport in the north. Entrance in the north. Long side of the bungalow facing east (bedrooms), terrace in the L SW, kitchen in the west, utility room in the north, living room in the south.

Recently, several bungalows have been designed here that fit very well on this plot

Ok .. it's not really 25x25 .. it's more stretched out a bit. So in reality, when we stood in front of it, it really looked almost square. I have to measure it over the weekend. Can you still make use of it? Especially since the carport and the house don't have to be as rigidly connected as some would like .. but rather fit on the property so that you have as much south-facing side and light entering the living area as possible for comfort.

The Team massiv 120 with 14´55 by 10 plus six garage fits well there, have a look at it on their website. I also find its floor plan okay. Karsten

So then. Today there was a first drawing from the architect ...
We are not quite so happy, as the path from the children's room to the bathroom is too far.
The design serves as a basis for discussion. An L-shape would unfortunately not be possible with a double carport, said the architect ...

Our first requirement was basically fulfilled. The junior should get sun, not important for the parents ... Later (around age 10, he will move to the attic)
But since it is very far, my wife wants to swap the office with the children's room. The pantry and kitchen will shift up a bit. Bathroom and utility room will be swapped ...

What do you think .. ?

I don't find the proposal very optimal. The children's room would also be incorrectly placed for me. Toilet, too close to the patio and living room. There's a lack of sensible zoning (typical for a bungalow).

Without redesigning everything from scratch, I would move the utility room to the office, the office to the children's room, and the children's room to the utility room. Without considering the cardinal directions or wiring (utility room).

Take another look at Post 13 from ypg. That's how I would do it too.

Is the plan oriented to the north? Or, where is north?

Tendentially, I would start from the top on the right of the plan with the kitchen, then the office, then the children's room. This way, the kitchen is also nicely positioned towards the terrace.
