How to place the house on the plot - tips requested :-)

No, I am aware of that. But the guest bathroom is the room to which we have the "least" demands. That's why I just placed a shower, sink, and toilet in there somehow.
In the house price, we have included a shower as a niche solution. However, in the 3D view from Roomle, it looked very cramped. That's why I took a bit more space from the guest room.

I would even place the carport with a room along the house directly on the western property boundary ... and also provide an access from the street side to the storage area ... that way you can bring bicycles to their storage area in the most car-friendly and convenient way.

And yes, rethink the house, because Frisian gable with entrance in the east is not really appealing.

But I would clearly prefer the longitudinal direction.

Phew, this is a difficult decision... We have now considered turning the Frisian gable into a captain's gable, and orienting the house lengthwise with the captain's gable (in which our study would then be) facing west into the garden.

Then I used a sun path simulator, with the result that our west terrace and the living area might be in the shadow of a neighboring house if one is built on the western property. Difficult...

We will not mirror the ground floor either because we love the sun in the kitchen at breakfast. That puts us in a good mood for the day and is more important to us than having sun in the kitchen in the evening.

Additionally, the carport on the west side acts as a windbreak, which is not to be neglected here on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein.

Maybe we will set up a small seating area in the garden for the evening sun, but that planning will come later.

Great! If I were you, I would still consider A) the frequency of breakfast ceremonies in the sun B) the neighboring house to the east - there will definitely be one there too C) the priority terrace at the kitchen or priority kitchen with east window
