And exactly what I actually wanted to avoid is happening. It is leading to unnecessary disagreements:
The other corner house urgently wants to enforce its 35-degree roof pitch because a change would cost almost €4000. However, from our side, 35 degrees is not possible because we would not be able to fit our air-to-water heat pump in the utility room under the roof.
A proposed compromise at 37.5 (is .5 even possible?) is actually not desired because "there is no benefit in it." Annoyingly, the corner house thinks it should set the standard here, to which the others must then adapt.

However, the appointment at the building authority was very helpful – they approve a deviation of 5 degrees, so that we can stay at 40 and the other corner house at 35 degrees.
How is this supposed to be implemented?
What would still be absolutely state of the art or indispensable for you in a new building?
