At least with ours, it would be possible to remove individual items. That's surely possible with others too.

Very good! :D

Based on the descriptions, I am optimistic about you.

Here in the countryside, at least in our region, it is rather unusual. A lot of work is done with freelance architects and then a lot of own effort through the network (everyone more or less knows everyone) and, yes, sometimes also under the table, depending on who you know how well. Building with a general contractor probably accounts for about 10% here, I would estimate.

That's why I didn't have that option on my radar.

Unfortunately, it doesn't help me if you lapse into irony here ... I am already thinking in all sorts of directions.

The architect has been contacted again to discuss all options. Everything has been thoroughly discussed with my partner (what if it doesn't work out financially for us - do we go for a condominium?) and so on. So for now I can only wait and see what happens in the next few weeks.

Whereas with a sloping plot of land, it is always recommended to consult an architect here..

Okay, then sorry. A little encouragement does good :)

We will probably make a decision by the end of the year.
By then, I can assess in my job where the direction is going (maybe also a bit upwards in terms of salary), I will have my exams behind me, costs can be better estimated, and maybe our architect can also propose a cheaper solution for us, despite the slope, which we can really warm up to :)
