Are you building directly through the architect or through a GÜ whose salesperson is still involved?

What exactly do you mean by GÜ?
But we are building with a prefabricated house company.

Generalübernehmer => So a company that more or less delivers the house to you "turnkey". So yes. Often the drawings are adjusted to the "grid" that the companies prefer to work with. In our solid construction it was a 25 cm grid. The bricks are 50 or half 25 cm wide, so there is little waste. Just talk to your contact person (that's why it's called that).

Ah yes! However, it doesn't look like a grid to me. The measurements are too "crooked" for that. Sure, I will clarify that with the internal sales representative/contact person as soon as he has the drawings with the marked measurements in hand. Thank you for the answers. It's great to be able to exchange ideas with people who know more about the subject than I do.

If there is such a stone size, the architect should know about it and plan accordingly.

As a rule, I would expect the execution planning to exactly reflect what the architect has planned. In individual cases, measurements can differ due to different reference points or similar reasons. I would also expect the architect to review the execution plans. It is correct that you first write down all points you don’t understand and then clarify them with the architect and the creator of the execution planning. There are no stupid questions!

I agree with you. It was the same for us! Absolutely right. The matter is too complex to be understood perfectly by a layperson at first glance. But people who communicate can be helped.
